Hayashi Tadakata (林忠交)

Tadakata HAYASHI (1845 - July 25, 1867) was the second lord of the Jozai Domain, Kazusa Province. The fourth son of Tadafusa HAYASHI, the first lord of the Kaibuchi Domain. His lawful wife was the daughter of Masanori KUGAI. His childhood name was Takesaburo. Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade), the Governor of Higo Province.

Biography

In 1845, Tadakata was born as the fourth son of Tadafusa HAYASHI. He became the adopted heir of Tadaakira HAYASHI, his older brother. On May 23, 1854, he succeeded to the position of family head at the time of his older brother's retirement, and was then conferred to Jugoinoge in January 1855. He became Oban gashira (a captain of the great guards) in June 1857 and then Fushimi bugyo (magistrate) in August 1859 to support the Tokugawa family as one of the Sabaku-ha (supporters of the Shogun). Died on July 25, 1867 at Fushimi during the position of magistrate. Died at the age of 23.
